    Bought this Ar15 and now have taken apart and cleaned as it was saturated with oil. Any suggestions for breaking in period (brass vs steel) ???

    I wont ever run steel through my ar. Never have never will,, but that dont mean you cant. If your guns will shoot it and you want to save money on ammo, well, than buy steel. All I have to say is, make sure you start off with a box of 20, make sure your gun shoots it without probs. Some ars will some wont. Also after a lot of rounds, steel may start getting stuck due to tne heat.
