An industry that breeds deer with big antlers to be shot in fenced hunting preserves contributes to the spread of diseases, an Indianapolis Star investigation has found.

The complete story is on line. The print edition will start Sunday. Lots of videos and interviews. This has to be one of the most extensive stories ever done on the Canned hunting deer hunting industry, the disease risk to wild deer and the ethics and image of hunting/hunters in North America

Everything you wanted to know about the Deer Farming Industry and Disease. this should open a few eyes :yesway:

Best thing I've seen come out of the Indy Star in years.

The reporter really did a great job of investigative reporting.

This should be required reading for every Indiana politician..

send it it to yours today....

Yes. Because the Star has always been a gun owners friend. This is like using Karl Marx to give proof against the evils of capitalism. Do captive deer get sick and die? Sometimes. Do free range deer get sick and die? Sometimes. Ask northern IN and Michigan about the free deer and EHD 2 seasons ago. You guys and your big government regulation helps everything rhetoric. /facepalm.

Handgunners of deer are a small group, wouldn't surprise me to see the Star go after them and most rifle and X bow folks be content, since it aint their deal.

Liberals don't give, they just take.

If you can't trust the source, you can't trust the message. You trust it because it reconfirms your belief system.
