I thought a bragging thread was in order.


My wife was anti-gun before me, now she has gone shooting but still isn't crazy about the idea of guns/ammo. When I was looking for a new M&P I saw one in the classifieds. I PM'ed the guy before I had permission (from the wife) to buy anything. I offered less than he was asking thinking I'd get shot down. He accepted. Sweet! Except I don't have any money...the Mrs. let me use some of her cash!!! (we keep separate envelopes of a little bit of cash in the safe, spending money for ourselves)

Fast forward a couple of months, a member of a group that shall not be named bought a gun for me because he knew I wanted one and couldn't afford it. Told the Mrs. about it, after she got over the shock of how nice this guy is and how crazy this sounded, she said, "well you can afford it, just pay him for it." I was not about to bring up the idea of buying a gun to her, but just telling her I'll make payments to this guy, she said just go for it! She's coming around!

I'm bragging on my wife, she's awesome!

Finishing the 1-ton build that has been on jack stands for 2 years.

Front Dana 60 complete rebuild
4.56 gears
either a Detroit or Ox locker (haven't decided)
all new steering
Lots of small stuff
Already have the rims (stock H2) and tires (37" BFG Krawlers)
The rear 14-bolt is already under the 'old CJ

Spent some time this week welding up the new front bumper, which is also the front spring hanger. Not to brag (but that is the point of the thread), but the welds don't look too bad for being 2 years w/o practice.

i was married for 18 years, in 18 years i bought two guns(traded one gun and 20 bucks for another, and built 1 ar15) and got yelled at both times!

got divorced, started dateing again, and now (5 years since)ive bought 5 and the fiance has given me 3!,the most recent was german sig 220!, and everytime i say im thinking about a new gun she says go ahead get it!(im in love!)

I have an awesome wife. She's got her lifetime LTCH and wants to learn all about all the guns, and she's all into musical instruments. The first one, before she died, I had to cash in the AR and the 82 US Strat just to pay the bills. Does it say badly of me that I don't really regret her death? If I started bragging on my wife I would run out of space.....she is my angel.

We used to do a lott of road trips on her Dyna-Glide. My springer was a flat out hot rod so we used her scoot for the trips. She knew it was a chore to stay out 5 to 7 days on her bike so she traded her Dyna.
