There are "sources" that are saying that multiple manufactures are receiving brace letters. However, I cannot seem to find any letters posted on the interwebz beside the Q letter.

Also, the ATF is now ticked off that gun owners are not just laying down and accepting these unconstitutional changes.

    ... Good

People don’t like waking up and finding out some douche at a 3 letter agency made them a criminal for possessing something prohibited by law that they dumped 2 grand on and depend on to defend their family. I hope nobody ever listens to the ATF.

Add into this..."Bought it legally over the counter and went through the 4473"

    Well.....Yes...AND...No

There is no constitutionally protected right to race cars. There is one for firearms. That makes it even worse.

I always hate this argument. It is precisely why some of the founders were against the Bill of Rights in the first place. Our rights do not end there.

If only the Federal government had actually followed the constitution and restricted itself to the powers granted to it.

There is no constitutionally granted power for unelected bureaucrats to strike down personal rights by whim either. Yet here we are.

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

    US Constitution, 10th Amendment.

Yep...you are 150% correct. I posted something similar in the standard magazine thread regarding the bumpstock fiasco. Ex post facto laws and the entire congressional process were completely ignored with bumpstocks. Items were made illegal by unelected bureaucrats that cannot be held accountable by the public. That is completely against the constitution.

This ties into the thread about the constitution. Most of the progressives in government see the constitution as a hinderance and they are now promoting the idea that it should be abolished.

That is why I hope that the bumpstock litigation is heard by SCOTUS and SCOTUS makes an example of the ATF and heaps punishment on them for all other government agencies to see.

If you want to discuss Biden and the ATF under his presidency start a new thread in the political section. This is about brace bans, let’s keep there. If we can’t do that, we’ll just lock the thread. I was hoping it would get back on topic but it keeps going the wrong direction.

Do we not also wonder whether a 100 page thread educates the anti's about an obscure item that they really didn't know existed?
