As a single man who would like to have a woman to love, get your stuff together man. Not everything needs to be an argument. We aren't always right. Watch your tongue, once something is said, it can't be taken back. As far as getting your head out of your a**, show her, don't tell her. It will mean more.

I hope this works out for you sir!

My dad told me along time ago, "you can be right or you can be happy, but you can't be both." If I only would have figured out what he meant earlier in life. I'm a little hard headed.

Also, words are like toothpaste, you can't put them back.

I hope all works out for you.

One thing I heard by an old guy back home: "When mamma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy".

Seriously....You may win a battle but the war will be lost. I am on my 3rd marriage (32 yrs. this time and believe me, buck up, shut up and show her you care. If she returns the affection....roll with it. If it is an endless fight, move on. Sometimes love just is not enough.

All the best to you both.

A real appology goes a long way.

LOL! IndyJohn has a tendency to keep poking at the grizzly bear when he knows I'm already ticked off about something. :stickpoke:I don't get it, it seems to be an affliction so many men have. Do you guys not know when we are about to blow? It's like he's gotta see if one more poke will do it and then after the steam starts pouring from my ears I hear "I know, I know, I'm sorry" before running for his life. :boxing:

Poking the bear is me and my wife's code phrase. When we are having a disagreement that is turning south, if one of us says you're poking the bear that means its separate corners for a bit.

@OP - you're gonna have to change because its what you want for yourself. You can't change for other people, it doesn't usually take for the long haul.

    Good luck

Mine does the same thing. It's like he wants to see just how far he can push it before I completely explode. You're right though. A real and sincere apology does wonders. I think more than anything OP needs to form a very heartfelt apology and then give this woman some time to let it sink in, all the while SHOWING her that he meant it.

    Right here.
I've always found that having my wife shackle me with fur covered handcuffs, duct tape and giving her a cat-0-nine tails goes a long way to show her your really sorry and repentant.

The fact that you recognize that speaks volumes. My other half and I have gone through the same issues in the past. We BOTH have the problem of not knowing when to stop our mouths. Once we learned how to control it, things have been smooth ever since.

James 3: When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. 4 Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. 5 Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. 6 The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. 7 All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, 8 but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
9 With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. 10 Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be"

Hopefully your relationship is still pretty young. Take this and learn from it. I think just about every guy does this at some point early on. Mine was about a year and a half into the marriage. I kept warning her about hurrying through yellow lights. She got a ticket and I let her have it. She didn't let me have it for a LONG time.

Take your pride and shove it.

If anyone would speak to her the way you must have, you probably would have put it to an end immediately. Sounds like things are not over yet so you have a chance. Go back to dating. Ask her to dinner and a movie, you'll pick her up.

We all change all the time. A marriage book states we all marry the wrong person because we keep changing. Interesting concept. Another states his wife has been married to five men, and they're all him!

Marriage should enhance each individual. If you're not at that point, don't get married. If you feel you can get there, let 'er rip! Best of luck.

I'm old enough, tired enough and sore enough that I've earned the right to say this.... Grow up !

Would you talk to your mother or sister in such a manner? If the answer is yes then you are doomed to a life of relationship misery.

Either switch teams so your partner can smack you when you are an ass or get a cat and a massive porn collection so you don't torture any more women.

I doubt this is the first time your mouth has written checks your ass can't cash.

I am curious how the cat relates to the porn stash :dunno:
It doesn't, I'm just assuming the OP finds comfort having something that depends on him and if putting food out and scooping a litterbox is the extent of his little friends needs, he can't do too much harm.
