    to answer the first question i payed 749.99 for it. as for the sights to be honest i am not absolutely thrilled with them. though i absolutely love the fact that i can adjust them, and yes i did have to adjust elevation upon first firing, the sights do not have dots for quick sight aquisition so i'll be changing them out for night sights (still adjustable). thanks for all the input guys..

    SWEET Springfield ,These have some great standard features that are custom on other 1911's .Congrats & welcome to the club ,eventually will catch up with the Glock crowd

    I'm still looking for my first 1911. I just haven't found one that I absolutely can't live without, yet, but I will one day.
