Wait, wait, wait. You mean PUBLIC property is used as the PUBLIC has deemed fit via their representatives? So just because tax money paid for the airport I can't picnic on the runway because society at large has deemed the public use for that public property should be for airplanes?

Keeping us down, man, keeping us down.

Arguing that supports the 1% alone is ignoring the fact that huge sectors of our economy, and pretty much everyone who doesn't telecommute, relies on an open and effective transportation infrastructure for their income. Everyone who spends money on things other than fremium gaming and level 20 warlocks also needs goods to move to satisfy their economic needs and wants, again requiring a transportation infrastructure that functions.

I think you can but only if you're [strike]picnicing[/strike] protesting against the 1% or something like that.

    WOW -
How did you know he was talking about you?

    Hmmmm.......Guilty Conscience?

If anyone has seen or heard this bit, they'll understand: "I didn't put the bullet in the furnace, so stop talkin' about my mother"!

(as an aside, I wonder if I could score a deal buying the Cosby LPs from the local library)

Anyhoo, the comment about battery acid and police was in the article linked, not here.

Gotta love when cops take a non-violent situation and make it a violent one. There is a very good reason cops are becoming hated even more and they are doing a good job of earning it.

I don't know what video you watched, but in the one I watched I saw the protestors trying to provoke a violent response by shouting obscenities at the police and refusing to clear the streets. I thought that the police response was remarkably restrained given the circumstances.

Well then, you might as well write a novel. The idea of a protest is completely lost and the notion that the police serve the 1% is confirmed. This isn't private property.

Correct, it's public property. The protestors have no right to block the rest of the public (the vast majority) from access to that property by blocking it.

If I'm a parent who is busting my butt to earn enough money to pay your tuition to go to college, and I see you out there protesting, whatever those cops do to you is nothing compared to what's going to happen when you come home.

I've made my views on law enforcement known before, but one should still be practical about when and where they protest if they don't want to suffer adverse consequences of their actions. After all, freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from the potential consequences of that speech. (As the left is so fond of saying.)

Not sure what part of "move back" that the Berkley idiots didn't understand. I understand it was complicated and all but sheezzz. All one has to do is listen to the little snotty nosed Berkly trash to see what they (police) are dealing with. No sympathy here.

I like what tenring said, If I saw my daughter that is in college participating in this stinky hippie stuff I would be the last person she would be wanting to see. But you know what? I have no worry because she was raised the right way. She would not be involved in such stupidity.
