near Bedford on a whole lot of land.
Whoa! That's a lot of ammo. :yesway:

Only if you're used to buying it by the box at Walmart...

Ammo is a decent place to park some money for several reasons:

Buying in bulk saves you money if you shoot.

The price rarely goes down if you buy at normal retail prices.

It's relatively liquid as far as assets go.

When people get stupid and start panic buying you can relieve them of some of the money they apparently don't really know how to use well anyway.

You can always just shoot it and have fun.

I am sure tons of orders have now been placed and most online stores are going to be sold out of M855.

If everyone who placed a panicked order had used that time to send an email to his congressman and to the BATFE we would be in a much better place.

Today, based on a FEW stores that have online inventories, I witnessed over 1,000,000 rounds of .223, 5.56 and m855/ss109 sold......AMAZING!!!

I couldn't find any green tip at a good price before this so now I guess I will have to just give up looking for it. I signed and verified.

My first thought on reading the ATF's release was that this is a move against ar pistols. First they make the claim that m855 is armor piercing and used in handguns. We step right into it with the argument that all 5.56 would penetrate soft armor and they agree, with the result that either all 5.56 goes or ar pistols go.

I'm not saying that is a fact, but it was my first thought.

I would hate to see what he paid for that ammo !
I thought the .22 flipper prices were outrageous.
The shape of things to come this summer I guess.

Now you see this on the petition page:

[h=2]An error has occurred[/h]Sorry, there is a technical problem and this petition cannot be signed right now. Please try again in a few minutes.
If you receive this error repeatedly, you may contact We The People to report the problem.

Seems to be fine now. I signed earlier though.

Emailed the senators yesterday. Will think of a comment to the ATF tomorrow after I've gotten sleep and can think more clearly.
