    Imagine a gun in the hand of such an angry man and the havoc he could wreak.

    Carrying and enduring his verbal abuse probably did more for gun rights than writing a number of letters to your representatives.

    Your argument makes no sense, if he had a gun the tirade wouldn't exist for two reasons. Every person I know that carries is much more level headed, and two he wouldn't have been put off by a firearm in the first place.
