It seems you'd have to trust people, perhaps even love them, to teach them such a dangerous skill.

Imagine trying to rule a population of such individuals who question and think things through for themselves.

I'm not sure about the "love" part. And I don't even know how far I'd say "trust". I just think people don't have a right to manipulate other people's thoughts. Teachers who knowingly present their own personal political views more favorably than others are immoral. If this teacher wants her students to view Sharia most accurately, then present it comprehensively. And again, I'm not saying she didn't. I don't have comprehensive knowledge of what exactly was involved in the class. But if she is trying to favor one view over another, it's immoral. She has no right to manipulate other people's thoughts, especially other people's children.
