Maybe I'm misunderstanding what this is about, but it doesn't seem to me that it's all that "are you kidding me".

I thought everything involve The Bern was free? If only there was a way to make money so you could do the things you want to do.

Yeah I was expecting it to go on about how people should be given free access provided by their governments.

Yeah, I'm ok with that too. Is the Internet a "basic human right"? Nah. But governments shutting down peoples' communications because they're afraid of what might be said is a sucky thing.

The last time we had a blackout in my neighborhood I sat on my front porch with my carbine in hand and pistol in holster. Folks walked by ans said Hi MR. *****.
