    Weird thing is... the prosecutors aren't wrong to make that ridiculous claim. France just doesn't have the same statutory rape rules that America does.

    Wondering if this case will cause some change in the law to fix that.

    They're just doing their jobs, as scummy as it may seem.

    I wouldn't hold my breath. the law is the way it is because the political ruling class wants it that way. That means a whole more more in France than it even does here. What the unwashed rabble wants? Not as important. This is still Europe.

    Yeah, given how many after-the-fact consensual sexual encounters turn into "rape" these days, I'm becoming more skeptical of every claim.

    Those that cry wolf are hurting those that actually experience such violence.

    Skimmed it... it gets even worse, believe it or not. Keep in mind, the child (the baby, that is, not the rape victim) is now 8 years-old.

    Since his conviction for the rape in 2008, Mirasolo, from Brown City, Michigan, has been convicted of another child sex assault, for which he served four years in prison.

    While my preferred solution only costs 20¢ (43¢ if you're willing to waste a Gold Dot) on scum like this, I can't imagine how anyone can argue that a two-time rapist, let alone twice raping children, should ever see daylight except through iron bars and barbed-wire.

    4 years in prison for 2x rape conviction against minors? Good thing he doesn't smoke weed he would have spent the rest of his life behind bars - disturbing what our society has determined for punishments
