Are private messages really private?

Are private messages really private or can mods read them? Just curious.

PMs are private. They are just like an email, meaning that only the sender and recipient can read them.

well, I know that Admins on vbulletin software can do anything.

Mods can not read private messages, well, at least typically. Im sure someone could install a hack to allow it.

I wondered this as well. I know some board software allows mods with privledges to access EVERYTHING of other users so I guess only the mods will know!

I seriously searched for 10 minutes for an image that has two close-up pictures of that travesty of a tattoo...One of them were the vein like patterns on the "shaft" of the "sword" and the other one being the...ahem...Liquid like substance coming from the very tip of the "sword."

Yes, admins on vBulletin can read PMs if so inclined. It became an issue on another board of which I'm a member, and the fact that the owner did this led me to visit much less often.

Could he sure, but why would he do something like that. After all Fenway, and all the mods have put a lot of time and effort in this site to make it what it is. I don't they they would want to do anything to give this site a bad name.

I run a vBulletin site and am not aware of any mod/hack that will allow an admin to read a pm.

default control panel...there is no way an admin can read anyones PM's via vBulletin.
