I'd look at a Tiptons Best gun vise and the Wheelers mag well attachment. As far as maintenance, if you've ever tried cleaning the bolt carrier group, invest in a carbon scraping tool. I just got a Real Avid AR15 scraper tool and it seems to be of decent quality. There are a bunch of options out there, but it's worth the money for the time you'll save.
