I stopped at Cabin Fever in Scottsburg today.

He still has AR-15 and AK-47 magazines but they were too high for me.

    Pmag: $50, formerly $20
    Tapco: $40

    No AR-15 rifles.
    No lowers.
One AK-47, I think he was asking around $900.

While I understand folks getting frustrated at higher prices, I also understand that a price conveys an important message: "This is the current relationship between supply and demand". Much like the folks in New Jersey after the hurricane, I'd rather be able to buy a tank of expensive gasoline, than find out that none of the stores have any for sale at any price.

I saw a note on the Brownell's site yesterday evening sharing that Magpul was only going to be making black pmags until they can catch up with demand.

Not a big deal for me, I like the black ones.

Isn't price gouging charging too much when there is a need, not a want (a natural disaster for example), and you need to buy the item food/water/gas for survival?

We don't need the magazines, so if you want to sell them for $100 each, and people buy them, then go for it.
