It was actually used in Iraq, contractor grade DPMS which is what I used...I just got my Knights rails, panels, and grip too...just need my PEQ-15...

I had a feeling that's what it was, but wasn't quite sure.

But, I read on INGO how only Colts are battle rifles...........

That was meant for sarcasm but it is sad I've read that...many times...

I dont share everything new in my life, but this one is special...Iraq bring back AR-15 with sand, dirt, dust, and all. This was identical to the gun I used while in the Army, Aimpoimt, mount, and all. Needless to say it has a special place in my gun safe.

brings back not so fond memories of cleaning my M-4, sandstorm, cleaning my M-4, sandstorm, cleaning my M-4.....you get the idea. The white # 459 brings back the memory of our rifle company. Our supply sergeant used red in the same fashion. My rifle's red looked pretty close to that after a year in the sandbox - not white, but faded pretty close. Nice piece of history you got there!!!

    Getting there.

Seriously digging that upper/hand rail combo....looks killer.

Getting my barrel and gas block installed, should pick it up Monday or Tuesday. Picking up muzzle and BCG up Wednesday if not sooner, then some kind of sights.

Anybody want to get together and have a reasonable range day to break the ar15 in?

I love this setup. Awesome brand. I really like how you can basically build a LaRue or Noveske sleeper with their stuff. Thanks for sharing the progress. How is upper to lower fit? I would expect pretty tight from SMOS.
Tightest set I've ever owned. Though, I've never had an upper/lower combo from the same company before either. So far I am loving this. I'll have another set I am sure.
I'd light to replace my BCM upper/Meger lower rifle wearing a Noveske NSR with another SMOS upper lower.
