I bought a Ruger 556E a few months back and it's AWESOME. Took it out last weekend and fired 120 rds through it of cheap Federal 5.56 fmj and the bolt was nearly spotless. Anyone interested in a gas piston gun should try one of these. For right around $1000 it is much less expensive than other gp models.

That's what I have been thinking about doing with my Trijicon RMR, move it off the top and onto a 45* mount. So how do you like it there?

Dew makes me too jittery to shoot bullseyes. I can't live without it during the day though.

I'm liking it, but not with that mini red dot. I chased that SOB all over the place yesterday and finally gave up on it. I ordered a new mount for my Primary Arms micro and am going to try that out. I used to have that red dot on top of the ACOG but it is just too high up mounted like that for me.
