It is something. I love the light but I’d rather pay more for something that doesn’t burn through batteries like Snoop Dogg does joints.

I'm not an electrician, but I don't see how a pressure switch could draw power when not pressed. The whole idea behind a pressure switch is current doesn't flow until it's pressed.
Well, I just pulled out my home defense carbine and double checked it. The batteries are well over a year old and it's fine. Unless the switch is getting pressed by something while it's in storage, I don't see how a unit without a short would be pulling power. There's no LED indicators, etc. Maybe temperature swings? I wouldn't expect the batteries in my patrol rifle that lives in a trunk to have the same life as one that lives in a climate controlled bedroom safe.
Could there be a difference in generations? Mine sits in a climate controlled safe all year with nothing touching it and lasts a few months at best
