I carry a Taurus PT1911. I've put about 1000 rounds thru it with no problems.

I have both the PT1911 SS (500+ rounds through - 0 issues) & 4" PT 24/7 Pro DS 9mm (100 rounds through - 0 issues)

I am looking to add a 4" PT 24/7 Pro DS .45 and a 3" PT24/7 Pro CDS 9mm for the wife.

I can't say enough about them and I am betting my life on them.

I carry a PT111 Millenium Pro. Love it. Took me a while to learn to shoot a compact pistol, but I would definitely buy another.

Carry a PT-940 .40 cal daily and also have a PT-92 9mm

Got a 9mm PT111 Millennium Pro that I lost track of how many rounds I have put through it. It has been 100% reliable. Carry it most of the time when I need something smaller than my Beretta 92.

I had a PT940 that I kept in the console but sold it to buy a Sig. I used to carry a PT140 Milimium Pro all the time. Put lot's of rounds through the -140 and never had a FTF/FTE or any problems with it. The trigger took a little while to get used to but once I did I never noticed it. I ended up getting an XD40SC and sold the -140, didn't think I needed two Subcompact .40's. Wish I had kept both.

Have a 3rd gen pt111 Love it. Have only about 300 rounds thru it so far, but no issues. I do think it shoots a bit low though. (4" out 25') Not a big deal as the sights are adjustable.

PT111 and PT140. Both reliable and used for CC.I would say the PT140 has 2000+ rounds through it and the PT111 600. The only problem ever was with the PT140,and it was a cleaning issue. After several thousands rounds recently it was FTF maybe one out of 20 rounds.Turns out there was quite a bit of cooper build up around the firing pin. Did a complete bolt disassemble for the first time,normally it is just field stripped and cleaned. Needless to say 2000+ rounds and it was time for a complete dis assembly and cleaning,so not a problem with the design or anything.Since the cleaning it has been shooting 3 times with 0 FTF.I would trust either with my life.

My first carry pistol was a PT140 Millennium Pro. It concealed nicely, but after shooting a Glock 19 I realized what I was missing.

For me, the slide was very top-heavy, .40 recoil was super-snappy, the DAO trigger left much to be desired, and I had FTF issues that caused me to no longer trust it. Paying $40/mag (IF you could find one) was no good too.

currently own a taurus pt 945 and have owned pt92 s/s and a taurus revolver , all were excellent guns ,been thinking about trying out one there 1911 offerings lately

I have owned and carried a Taurus 85 and a Taurus PT92AFS. I never had a problem with either one.

I have a 4" stainless M94 .22 revolver that I've owned for about 20 yrs. Nothing's broken or worn out and it's still one of my favorite plinker/woods bumming handguns.

I used to have a PT100 in .40 S&W. It was quite accurate, 100% reliable and very LH-friendly with its ambi safety/decocker and reversible mag release. I sold it because I liked my CZ97 B better.

I have a PT1911 stainless. It's a fine shooter now, but I've had some trouble with it. It shot 6" low at 25 yards. The only way to fix that problem without gunsmith work is to get a new sight (lower in front or higher in back). But the PT1911 uses a proprietary sight cut, and sights for it are hard to find. I ended up getting a Heinie Slant Pro and I filed it down until the gun shot to POA then cold blued the sight.

The one piece guide rod is peaned together and started to come apart. I replaced it with a standard, GI style guide rod and plug. I like this setup a lot better anyway... the FLGR does nothing beneficial, in my opinion.

The gun had accuracy problems - the norm was 6-inch groups at 25-yards with hardball. The problem was the barrel bushing was way too large... was .008 larger than the barrel. And the bushing was way to small for the slide (lots of slop there). I bought an EGW melt bushing sized to fit the barrel and slide. They make them to order.

The ambi safety came apart in the first 200 rounds. I bought an Ed Brown standard safety and fitted it.

One of the mags will not feed 8-rounds - the top round nose dives every time.

I also have a Taurus 617 revolver - and that's been pretty good, but no more PT1911s for me.

I own the PT145 and I love it, no problems and it is very small and comfortable to carry. Low budget too!
