I want in, in 1968, 'Hollywood Marine'. We used the M-14's during basic and had to qualify with them. Anyone remember the distances? Was it 200, 400, and 600 yards? Or 200, 300, 400?

    Thanks,

U.S. Army M16A1,A2,A4 M4 50,150,200,300 Meters depends on what years for the positions used to be 20 rounds foxhole 20 rounds unsupported prone recently it changed to 20 rounds supported prone 10 unsupported prone 10 kneeling.

Marines use the old KD (known distance) range at 200,300,500 using various positions same as they have since the M1.

The Army still uses the KD ranges for training the modern ones use a sound target so you don’t even have to work the pits anymore.

No idea what the AF or Navy does?
