Use to be...sigh. I miss my Wrangler. Had a 2000 TJ with the I6. Put a 3" BDS suspension lift and ran 31X10.5" Goodyear MTs on it. Added Borla exhaust, throttle body spacer, K&N and a few other bolt ons I can't remember. First trip was to Silverlake in MI. More trips to the Badlands than I can count. One trip cost me $1400 as I got stuck in a mud hole and my tranny got its belly full of mud.

Miss it, someday hope to get another one.

Water pump on my XJ is going out at 179k
First repair while I've owned it.

At least, that's what we think the problem is. Belt is moving around and squeaking a bunch! Temp. gauge still reads low-normal temps though

Replace the thermostat while you are at it. I did both my water pump and thermostat at one time. Very easy.

Before you rip it down...

Make sure you check the other Pulleys and Tensioners...

Daily driver is a '94 ZJ with 3.5" lift and 32" MTRs.
249 died, swapped in a 242........burns rear tires with ease now (5.2L).
Keep hoping some insured fool on a cell phone wipes it out.
Next DD will be BB and 31's on another (cleaner) ZJ (like that body style).

Yes I have heard that before They won't be very similar before too long. After my last ride I got bite by the buggy itch pretty hard. I need alot more horsepower, bigger axles and bigger tires.

I hope to start something around May. With the way a 4.0 breaks parts I am scared to think what another 300 horsepower is going to do!

A 4.0 break parts? I have all the repairs since the previous owner got it with under at 100k. There was no motor repairs prior to myself owning it. The only thing I have done is replace the water pump and thermostat. I am at 177k now.

Throw it in the scrap pile. I have been through 6 motors in the last 8 trail rides. My list of broken parts in the last two wheeling seasons would definitely make you think I was full retard
