I am no master by any means, But I've never been skunked fly fishing. Get some weighted forward line, some poppers and flip the paint off them. The bluegill will love it.

check walmart and dicks sporting goods they have flyfishing starter kit from 20 to 40 dollars and some come with a book and or an instructional video the one i started with was a martin from dicks sporting goods i paid 20 bucks and it came with everything including the actually good beginners video once you start its the most addictive kind of fishing
