Um. I don't know how to break it to this guy. But the places with the highest population densities have the highest restrictions. AND, have the most crime.

I think if I was walking next to this guy, I'd have to drive him crazy (not a far drive), by saying, "that guy has a gun, look out". Over and Over.

Also higher levels of political corruption as it takes bribes and such to get anything done. And less personal freedom.

I think this article is great because it exposes just how divorced from reality the other side is. He bases his decision of what locations are unsafe upon the gun laws rather than the crime statistics. That kind of argument will work among the gun grabbers, but for the people on the fence an article in which the arguments are so bizarre that it at first appears to be sarcasm can only help sway them our way.

They live in a bubble with little contact with the rest of us. Or reality.

+1 for Indiana being so awesome.

This article was complete trash, not even to mention how wrong he was on numerous levels. Most have which have already been pointed out in previous comments... Ill just add one more.

It is legal in these states to bring loaded guns into gambling establishments

Its illegal to carry on casino riverboats in Indiana.

It's like a glimpse into the mind of a brainwashed cult member. The way they think, the way they analyze, and the way they argue.

"In all of these states, it is legal to shoot first and claim self-defense much the way George Zimmerman did with Trayvon Martin and hundreds of others have done in less publicized cases."

What, so should it be only legal to shoot after and not claim self defense?

Wtf is this guy even trying to say?

    +1!!!

I wonder how safe he feels in the liberal utopias like Chicago, Detroit, or D.C.?

Sad thing is, he probably does feel safe in Chicago. Have you ever been there on a summers night? There are packs of police 5 to 10 strong in riot gear roaming each block to keep order. That's the world this nutbag dreams of. A police state that keeps him safe so he can wander around under their watchful eye. He would have loved living in Paris in 1943 with all the helpful Germans keeping him safe.

    From the article:
"And in all of these states, their background laws -- if they even exist -- are so full of loopholes that someone with a criminal record, a drug or drinking problem, or a history of mental illness can obtain a gun."

Huh. So the 4473 and the NICS check is a STATE thing now... Um, okay...

Now, don't go bringing facts into this. You know they have no place in an anti-gunners argument.

    From the first article:
"and the reason is that middle-aged white men are buying more and more guns, and gun ownership has become increasingly concentrated among them."

And yet, this demographic is not the one that is committing the majority of gun-related crimes. But of course to point that out would fly in the face of political correctness.

And this: "a faceless man wearing a sniper's jacket".

Wait, what?? Snipers get special jackets?? Are these jackets available on the civilian market? Because if it will improve my marksmanship and make me a "sniper", then I'd be interested... :): I thought it required hours of practice and dedication. Who knew it was just a wardrobe issue?

Man, I'd love to find that magical snipers jacket. I guess the word 'assault' is over used enough that even nutjobs like this guy need to invent a new scary term.

These guys really are a piece of work. He cannot imagine living in a state that allows the carry of a gun in a restaurant that serves alcohol. Would it be better to leave it unattended in your car? No, he thinks it should only exist in your home, disassembled and in a safe, with key parts held by the government and only given to you while you are under the supervision of one of the chosen class of people. BS is the fertilizer of the anti gun movement. It is the only thing they can use to grow their numbers.

How can someone write this and get paid for it? This is just an uneducated, slanted rant trying to stir up controversy. Is it a ratings grab of some sort to make people talk about HP? Pretty absurd to me.
