    Fiocchi 45acp 230gr FMJ ammo 2 x $279.99 = $559.98

it was acceptable to my budget. They list the Fiocchi ammo on the page, but are out of stock. I was asked if Federal AE was acceptable as a replacement within 10 min of my order.

Since I'm going to just use this as range ammo, I'm fine with Federal.

You just dump your rounds in, or do Like me and leave them in their trays? (I think I'm just weird)
Most are loose in the cans. The rest of the 7.62x54r is left in the factory sealed tins at the top of the picture. Most of all my 8mm I bought loose so that is how I store it. My Guatemalan 5.56 took up so much space with the boxes that I trashed all the cardboard for those as well.

My Dad actually made an "ammo inventory spreadsheet" the other day and emailed it to me. It was great!

11,000 rounds of everything from .22 to 12ga.

Can I get a copy of the spread sheet?

I desperatly need to do an ammo inventory.

I have 2 shelves that look like Denney347's.

I just had to reconfigure my cans after my order, but I'm off to a good start. I'm going to try to buy a minimum amount of ammo every month. I'd like to do 600-800 WWB 9mm and possibly 500-1000 .223 every month.

    1000 Silver Bear .223
    250 Ultramax .223
    150 #6 Shotshells
    150 #7 1/2 Shotshells
    25 #4 Shotshells
    250 Federal LE 00 Buck
    600 WWB 9mm
    250 Federal HST 9mm
    30ish Federal Hydrashok 9mm
    60ish Ultramax 9mm
    500 Remington .22lr

What continues to cause me significant emotional pain is that I failed to buy ammo by the pallet (even though I would have needed a loan) when it was dirt cheap by today's standards.

The worst part is, I was (and many others were) warned.

Remember when you could get South African M1A3 or M1A4, or Chinese or Malaysian M193 5.56x45mm for ten cents a round or sometimes less? At least one guy on AR15.com repeatedly suggested that people buy all they could because it wasn't going to last.

i shot some (alot) of that cheap ammo last summer/fall and had to replace it with 0.34 ammo. there is no justice.

all this talk of stocking ammo...any leads on cheap ammo cans? fat 50's are preferred.

i'd list the ammo i have in stock at the moment, but it would be embarrassing and my wife may read this thread. hehe. let's just say i could stand the zombies off for awhile. hehe.

    ~2300 x .223
    ~800 x 7.62x54r "Sniper"
    ~700 x .45
    ~400 x 7.62x39
    ~1000 x .22lr
    Misc .38/357/380/9mm/12ga.

But looking at others here, and only guessing at the stockpile(s) Rhino has, I am behind again and need to buy more, again.

sad news, aproximately 5k rounds of ammo got involved when my gun room flooded. sad day, sad day. shouldn't really hurt anything, but it was in original packaging and now my wife has seen a partial ammo inventory. could be trouble. hehe.

Uh oh. Looks like you need to start storing your munitions at my house.:):
