One thing America does make great is knives, I'd rather have an american one over anything else, and American guns are good too, but a German pistol will usually outshoot an American one 2-1, I'm gonna buy a good product, and sometimes it's not American, but a lot of the time it will be

I think that is the right mentality to have. Give us time and we will beat everyone at everything, but someone else has to do it better first, and be recognized for it. If we don't say "Hey, they did it better" what is the inspiration for an American manufacturer to try and out do it?
