Jason, looks great! I love the wood over the plastic for sure. I have a question about the underfolders, can you fold/unfold them with the 30 round mags attached? It looks close but I can't tell for sure.

    Here's my Yugo M70AB2 Underfolding AK-47.

Before, as I first received it.

After adding some walnut stained and Tru-Oil refinished yugo wood handguards, ak-74 style muzzlebrake, and a surplus H&K G3 sling.

The flash is making the wood look orangish, but it's actually a little darker and redder looking.

I have to say I'm impressed with how the Tru-Oil worked. And this is my first time ever refinishing any wood :rockwoot:

    Nice AK! :yesway:

My new chinese Polytech AKS-762! Was told it is unfired, and looks like that may be true due to the condition of the internals. Got an awesome deal on it locally, and it came with 4 mags of steel core ammo. A big step up from my old CAI Romanian WASR.

oh dang! A spiker!! Very nice! Get ride of that funky muzzle brake though.

Oh, and if you ever go to sell it, look me up! I want a spiker chicom AK in the worst way, only thing I want more is a 'double underfolder', ie underfolder stock w/ spiker bayo. :)

I was wondering what would be appropriate on it? I have a couple of slant brakes as well.

I have heard everyone recommend the ak-74 style muzzle brake, they say it works really well. I have one but I haven't been able to shoot it any yet, so I couldn't tell ya how well it does.

Just make sure to get one in the appropriate caliber. you don't want to shoot a 7.62 bullet through a 5.45 muzzle brake :D

only reason I said to loose the muzzle brake is because the folding bayonet will not function with anything to big in diameter at the end of the muzzle. ;)

Very nice!! I want an AK bad now but sadly none are available close. Sucks :noway:

Bradis had an SGL21 last time I was in, it was pretty nice.

only reason I said to loose the muzzle brake is because the folding bayonet will not function with anything sticking out past the end of the muzzle. ;)

Suppose if you need a purse to match your shoes.

I'd say ditch the bayonet, as this isn't the 40s any more. Function before form.

    Believe it was $881.

I gave it a good once over and it seemed to be a pretty decent rifle. That arsenal 2 stage is a funky trigger for an AK, but I imagine most people who haven't owned an AK before would prefer it. Doubt it'd take much to lighten it up quite a bit.

I appreciate the input :yesway:. I slapped it on there for the photo with out trying the bayonet. I'm not a huge fan of how the plain barrel nut looked, so I put a slant break on it, and the bayonet still functions.

great idea!! Lets take a $2000 AK and pull some of the most desirable parts off of it, because they aren't "functional".

    +1

Because this thread is worthless without pics here is a pic for yas.
