I buy guns for performance not for name. I have both the Ruger SR9c And the SR40c. I do nothing but target.500 rounds thru 9, 250 rounds thru 40. Shoot reloads and sometimes cheap amo. Have never had a jam. Accuracy is as good as my abilty. I take turns in what I cary. Practice with one is good for both. They are amost identical in weight and size. Use the same holster. Practice with the 9 cheaper. Have a S&W 9 Jambs everytime gets alittle dirty or don't like amo. Cost lot more than the Rugers

I waited forever for a shield. I decided to get a Glock 27 instead. It has been a great gun. It does everything that I want very well. It carries exceptionally well, and I still have 10 rounds in it. Combined with a crossbreed type hybrid holster, and I barely notice that its on me. There are a BILLION if not more modifications you can do to a Glock. I went with .40 for the stopping power. I also picked up a Lone Wolf 9mm barrel for it, if I decide to take it to the range, and put quite a few rounds through it. Excellent weapon.

M&P 40 or Glock 40 with a 9mm conversion barrel for the win. About as much versatility as a person can get right now.
