It's a sad day for all.

I'll never forget what I was doing that day, where I was and most importantly....How I felt.

Thoughts and prayers sent to the families of loved ones fallen.
Rot in Hel# to the terrorists.

    Never Forgotten!

ll never forget where I was that day. High school, sophomore year in current events class. Someone walked in told the teacher (a 90 yr old WW2 vet) something very quietly he seemed sad and upset stood up turned on CNN and we all watched quietly in amazement. I will never forget the tragedy but it is a bittersweet day for me as it is also my birthday.

I have stared at this screen for 15 mins, wanting to say things about 9/11. I am touched deeply by the postings by everyone on here. I was working my regular job and a friend called me telling me a plane had just crashed into the WTC. I was heading out to do a job and when I left I went by my mom's house to check on her. She was in failing health as it was and when I walked in she was watching CNN as I thought she would be. My mom was very upset, she was a true America lover. Her brother was is a retired Army Lt. Col. having as a young man did his duty in WW II, Korea, and as a GS in Vietnam. My father served WW II as a Navy man. She lost her oldest son an Airborne Ranger in Vietnam. My mother was a patriot. She held my hand tightly and said she was glad I was there. She was proud I was a Firefighter for 10 years, and was proud I was a Police Officer now. She was proud of how she raised her boys she said, then she looked at the TV and said, those men and women have mom's that are proud of them, they raised their children right too; what would we do without them. We both sat there mad and tears in our eyes. She said there will be a war over this, and rightfully so, but we can not let our soldiers fight alone. We need to stand up for America and all it stands for. We're free and strong and evil can't stand that; never has and never will. As long as those that love being free will fight for it and stand together to defend it, we'll always be free. God bless her, we lost her the following October. But she made me realize, that on that day, we lost brave men and women in the fire service, police service and those that chose public service. She reminded me too that the regular 'Joe', the man and woman off the street, the Patriots that gave their lives that day. Those people are us. I am proud to be arm and arm with all of you. We love our freedom and we love our Country and we stand tall together. Sorry to have rambled on, it just came out, like I said I was just staring and thinking and this was it. We can never forget. God Bless America, may God grant peace to the families of 9/11 and God Bless each and everyone of you patriots.

It just turned midnight, I changed my facebook page to a picture of the burning towers.

I will probably write something tomorrow... but for now I will go to be feeling guilty, knowing that while I've lost over 65 pounds, I am still not yet fit enough to go in the National Guard to serve again.

I will never forget, will never forgive and will some day join the fight...

    God Bless America

I plan on reminding everybody that I meet tomorrow that it's been 8 years. I want people to remember. We NEED to remember.
If someone says something like "Let it go" or "Get over it", I may just have to get up close and personal.
Maybe I should just stay home.

How could anyone "let go(/forget)" of a terrorist attack that took the lives of almost 3,000 innocent people?

3,000 fathers, mothers, children and grandparents.

    Eff those people.:xmad:
