The next 2nd Amendment Patriots North Meeting will be on Tuesday (always the LAST Tuesday of the month) March 26th at Kodiak Range in South Bend. The meeting starts at 6:30 PM. The meeting is a carry in dinner so bring a dish if possible.

IF POSSIBLE: PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN CHAIR.

Right now we have a lot of things to talk about so this promises to be an interesting meeting.

I usually try to keep the meetings about 1 hour long. However, since there is so much happening; this meeting will probably be longer.

Meeting notes from 4/29/13

2A rally last Sunday in South Bend was reviewed. Turn out was estimated at 200-250. News coverage was almos non existent (surprise). A ton of pictures were shown on the big screen. St. Joe County and Elkhart County sheriffs spoke, also Jackie Walorski and Casey Hendrickson (local radio talk show dude).

A list of current pending legislation was handed out and discussed.

Rep from the Elkhart Tea Party presented a history of the UN Agenda 21. Scary stuff, that is! Part 2 of the presentation will be at the June meeting.

Training opportunities upcoming at Kodiak were presented. A women's self defense class is coming up in May! Only $20 and each attendee gets a spray container of mace.

NJ tyranny. Vet sentenced to 5 years for transporting unloaded guns from Maine to Texas. Took a nap in NJ and arrested for illegal guns.

6/25 meeting

Great meeting last night. Attendance was a bit sparse. We guessed the weather forcast had a lot to do with that. Monday night's storm was a dandy so...

After the call to order, prayer and pledge, we discussed some of the latest news in the gun world: Taxes to penalize gun owners on purchase of guns and ammo, push back round 2 on New York SAFE act, Rhode Island legislation; some of it positive, some mayors that are pulling out of Illegal Mayors Against Guns (sic), CO recall efforts of anti-Constitution politicians.

Upcoming Appleseed in Niles, MI and a short discussion of it for those that missed the full Appleseeed presentation a couple of meetings ago.

Then we heard from a true hero, Sandra H., an elderly woman from South Bend. WHAT A STORTY! Sandra's home was invadeed by a thug in 2009. Sandra was able to retrieve her .38 caliber revolver from under her pillow and hold the thug on the floor at gunpoint until cops got there.

It was a very detailed description from the horse's mouth. Riveting! Way to go Sandra!!!

Some police have been recording license plate numbers at 2A rallies. One in Erie, PA was highlighted.

The AR 15 build group is beginning to form up. A sign up sheet was passed around. Many interested, including Sandra H.! Impressive gal, for sure!

Brief discussion of the FBI killing an associate(?) of the Boston Bombers and a coming collapse houndout from Mark Levin (talk show host).

Meeting adjourned.

Upcoming: we are inviting SJ County Sheriff to speak, then Elkhart Sheriff, too.

Upcoming Appleseed in Niles, MI and a short discussion of it for those that missed the full Appleseeed presentation a couple of meetings ago.

For anyone interested there will be an Appleseed event on July 5-6 at Bend of the River Conservation club. This is a Friday/Saturday event which helps those with Sunday obligations.

There is also an Appleseed event in Rochestor, IN on July 6-7

great meeting tonight. When Patrick from Kodiak was going through all the different components of an AR and what they would need to buy, you could see almost everyones head about to explode with information. I was able to pass along the PSA daily deal on blem lowers and LPK for $99. Quite a few of the people ordered on the spot. I mentioned to Denny after the meeting on how we need to go over communications (HAM) in an upcoming meeting and the ears of all the hams perked up and it was like a ham-fest down there. Casey had lots of goodies with him from his self defense business and talked it up until they booted us out of there at 9. Missed seeing Stocks and Hoosierdood (where were you guys??), but I've been missing out on these meetings all summer due to the kids sporting events so I'm not one to talk. Look forward to seeing you guys at next months meeting!
