I am calling on all the ingo's experts. I am looking for this type of 22lr shell holder. I can't believe a company doesn't make such a thing. I have search high and low I have came up empty. I have seen 72 round holders, open pouches etc but nothing in this design. any ideas or input would be great. Thanks guys.

I used plastic plumbing tubing from lowes, cut it so that the round's rim only catches on one side so it still can be removed easily, and then glued it to a bit of plastic before painting it. If you do it at an angle, it is easier to remove each round and you can either mount it with screws or velcro.

Other things to keep the kids interested as they get older, consider making a steel buttplate to teach them how to do strikes, bipod, suppressor and tactical entry light.

Pure awesomeness! I'm glad I don't have a Cricket. :ingo:
A Keystone Crickett (or the original Rogue Chipmunk) is easy enough, and affordable enough to acquire. Everybody should be glad to have one in their collection.

Adding the Techres touch to a Crickett is quite another matter. Following his lead will most certainly have its monetary setbacks, but those setbacks will be offset by the gladness you experience when your child fires the rifle, or better yet, when you hit steel at 200 yds., or compete against a suppressed 300 Blackout M16.

    Here's the proof. Pure AWESOMENESS!

Those are awesome vids. I chose to pass on Crickets for the youngins a few years ago. Went with 10/22's. The 12 year old now has the Savage FVSR. I found 'dope' on his rifle one day... He had taped his dope chart for .22 SK Standard Lapua ammo on it. Came up with it on his own. Was hitting 3 and 4" steel dingers at 150. Good stuff.

My Son and I have finally finished the crickett project. We added a scope 3x9x42, Bi-pod, sling and now a mounted ammo holder. Per Chubbs suggestion I ordered a Golf Tee Holder from Amazon 2.99 shipped. I had to used a 1/4 drill bit to open the holes up a little bit. I have two mounting options one is the 24 rounds under the rifle and the 2nd is 17 rounds on the side of the rifle. I had to remove some of the rounds so that it did not interfere with the trigger. My son and I are both left handed so that is why I mounted the holder on the opposite side. We are planning on trying everything out tomorrow so it should be fun (we have full 12oz pop cans, zombies targets, and balloons to eliminate). I am not a big fan of the velcro I used (walmart) industrial strength velcro brand. We will see how it holds up.

Good job there glock212327 ... well done! What scope are you using?

The only down side (as if there's a down side when you're out shooting with your kid) is you have a lefty. Better start saving your pennies ... things can get real expensive if they can't learn to manipulate right handed firearms.

Scope is a tac fire from Amazon I am really impressed with it. He can shoot right handed but he is left eye dominant I am the same way. I was working with him both ways but with a scope he was more comfortable shooting left handed. We were about 12-15yds out and he was popping the balloons and cans like a pro. It was a good day.
