Took my girl and my son to Ron Lahodys new Steak house in Anderson for dinner.
Our drinks and meals were all spot on.
Front one is an 32 oz in house aged Porterhouse and my son ordered a aged big strip. Those plates are oval and about 22" long.

So my next door neighbor puts out his giant professional smoker on his driveway this morning and it’s been smoking all day.

I went outside and smelled the delicious smoke several times today.

I send him a text message saying the delicious smoke is killing me! LOL!

He responds: Thankfully I am like Jimmy John’s, the smells are free!

    I busted out laughing! :ugh:

I rode by that place a few weeks ago. Was surprised to see a high end steakhouse like that in Anderson!

I've never been but I've heard nothing but good about the one in Muncie

We have never had a bad meal at Ron's place in Muncie either.

It been a long time since you could get a decent steak in Anderson, I'm going to say when The Boathouse and Sinbads were open in Anderson had good steaks.
And I sneak to 'On Broadway" to get Prime Rib on occasion, its just inside of the white river on Broadway st in Anderson. Its a bar that has pretty good food. Used to be a good Steakhouse over between Chesterfield and Daleville but I cant think of its name.

I’d really like to get a smoker. There’s only the two of us so I’m looking for a “small” one, and for only occasional use (once a week or less).

I also don’t want to spend anywhere near $1,000.

    Impossible dream?

I picked up a new still in the box Brinkman at a garage sale for $7.
My boy added a thermometer and has been using the crap out of it.
so really it comes down to how fancy you want to be, the simple ones require more babysitting but that equates to more beer being drank, soooo..... :) :40oz:

    Not impossible at all.

I think you need to decide if you want to use wood / logs or pellets. Then you can focus on the equipment.

I picked up a zgrill from menards almost 3 years ago. Couldn't be happier with it. Not quite small but isn't the biggest thing out there. Paid around $400 for it
