I like frying them with eggs and ham. What ever you cook them with they take on that flavor.Saw a doe this morning but too far for a shot. Hunt not completely fruitless, though:
If you fry them up you can make personal pizzas with them using them as the crust…Saw a doe this morning but too far for a shot. Hunt not completely fruitless, though:
Woah... didn't know we had moose around these parts.I had a trail cam pic with six does. Also, got pics of at least 3 different 6-8 pointers and then this big guy. Looks to be 12+ points
Nice shot!I got out this morning for the first time this season. First time using a crossbow as well. I was seeing deer almost constantly from first light until the hunt was over. This little 7 pointer gave me an opportunity at 35 yds, and I couldn't resist. He donkey-kicked and took off in a straight line when I shot. From my stand I could see my bolt sticking out of the ground behind where he had been. I gathered my gear and got down, nervously walking over to where the bolt was. I was ecstatic to see it was covered in blood and there was hair on the ground as well! I gave it a good 30 minutes after the shot, then started blood trailing. It was an easy trail with blood getting more and more plentiful as I went along. I found him dead about 50-60yds away.
