Anyone have a good source to bore out a gas block? I just measured my barrel and it is .905..... I know a few machine shops through work, but would just assume give the work to someone who has done the work before.

Why not just sell the block you have and get the right one?

I'll have to miss this one due to work schedule but I have more stuff to build in the future.

It's nice to bring your parts when there will be so many tools available.


(Also those things that they bring to work on ARs.)

I do not have a block at the moment. I need one and have yet been able to find a .905. I would order in a second if I could locate.

That seems like an odd size; are you measuring the diameter where the gas port is? Looks like most barrels are .750" (standard), .936" (bull) or 1.10" (super bull).

It is a Satern barrel.

Just curious, how long is this party going to last? I know there are a lot of variables, but how long did the last one last? The reason I'm asking is that my dumb a## thought it was a Saturday, and every Sunday my wife and I go to her Grandmother's house for dinner (along with her whole family). It is an important tradition. I guess I could cut out of the build party, if need be.
