Thought I would end 2011 right and buy a new 1911. Springfield Range Officer.

Here is mine. I'm a new member. I turned 18 back in July, and the day of my birthday I applied for my LTCH, and I received it about 3 weeks later.

This is a 1914 Colt M1911. It was my Grandpa's during WWII, and it was passed down to me this past summer. From what I understand, it was used in WWI, and was reissued back to the government, and then issued to my Grandpa for WWII.

I am addicted to 1911's. To me, no other handgun feels right in my hands

Definitely looks like it was well taken care of, it is in fantastic shape from the way it looks in the picture. 1911's are great guns, enjoy it, take care of it, and treasure it.

Even though you just had a SS TRP on here... I'll post a photo of mine!

I love this gun, although she needs to spend some time at the range with some hotter ammo, she tends to bind with the white box Winchester that I first tested out.

Bap1911, a photo from your desktop won't show up.
You have to upload it to someplace like Photobucket or Flickr and share the link here....

    My 'mutt' 1911

America is the melting pot and my 1911 is here as proof. Ithaca slide, Auto-Ordnance receiver, Colt magazine. Damn reliable handgun despite her mixed heritage.

Here is my Colt Lieutenant Commander (Lew Horton/Colt Custom Shop) ....cant stop holding her.

Lightweight frame, bull barrel, 1 of 800 in 1985 only.

If anyone know what type of sights are on this...I would appreciate if you would let me know...they look like novaks, but are more contoured....theyre super fast.
