Thanks! I just took 220 grit sandpaper and then 400 grit on a flat surface.
The black is just acrylic paint and it has held up to hundreds of rounds and dozens of cleanings. I also carry this gun every single day.
Ok trying out a 1911 springfield, but I purchased a lower end springfield and have been doing a lot of work 2 suit my expectations bjffing machining etc. I hear great things about these guns and I am a
Traded Kimber for Springfield Armory Loaded Champion.
Sold the Springfield, bought and sold some different guns and ended up with this:
It's an STI Spartan, and this is by far my favorite 1911 to date. Fit and function has been great, crisp trigger, awesome with follow-up shots, and accurate to boot!
Looked around online on different forums to find out if Rock Island made reliable 1911's, so far from what I have read is yes, but I was wanting the opinion from the guys of INGO! can you help me out, just reply or PM me with an answer thanks.
This I built on my own about 23 years ago. It has an Essex lower, with a Colt US army upper. Everything else was picked up at gun shows. I lost count how many rounds went thru her, many thousands for sure. My favorite shooter.
My newest addition, picked up Last Monday. Springfield Ultra Compact V10. A very sweet shooter. And my new carry pistol.
