This is "New to Me" Delta Elite that was bone stock when I picked it up at the last 1500. I installed a 10-8 rear sight and replaced all Cast and polymer parts with Wilson Combat Bulletproof Parts. I don't know if it is worth what I have in it, but I'm Liking it.

You must be doing well for yourself. That's a nice 10mm Colt you have there. :spend:

The top one has a flanged barrel - a new experience for me on a 1911. Looking forward to trying it out and seeing if the extreme front weighting does what it's supposed to do; tame the recoil a bit and allow faster follow up shots. Time will tell, I suppose. The bottom one is a pretty tricked out Compact; it's essentially one of their BWC (Bill Wilson Carry) pistols. I really like it, but I do think I prefer the longer grip of the Government/Commander frame both for the extra round and because it fits my hand a bit better. I suspect I'll swap it out for a nice Commander one of these days.

My collection of 1911 style pistols. Colt, Detonics, Randall, Brolin, S&W, and LAR Grizzly. Latest is a 1966 commercial government model with the checkered grips in the lower right side of the pic.View attachment 27024

Nice collection! My personal favorite is your early 1911 towards the top left. I need to add something like that to my collection one of these days.

That's a nice collection! I've got those same Herrett's skip-checkered grips on 1972 Colt Commander - they must've been a "thing" at some point because I've never heard of them being factory offered, but they sure show up on a lot of 70's Colts.

The one with the lanyard on it is a 1915 military. The other two military's are a Remington Rand and a Colt that was reworked at Springfield Armory after the war as a National Match gun.
