Thank goodness the mothers gun wasn't locked up in a safe where this girl couldn't have gotten to it. By being taught to shoot and having access to it, she saved her mothers life and drove off her attacker.

I'm sorry the young girl had to go through that traumatic experience of seeing her mother nearly killed and being forced to shoot the attacker. I'm glad she was prepared and able to do it.
