Well, I got her done. The sights were easy to install, only took about 10 mins. I am very happy with how it turned out. Will have range reports tomorrow. Whatcha guys think???

Beautiful! I'll echo the others -- would love a parts list, and looking forward to the range report!

I ordered the stock thru Shooters Discount, Tech Sights TSR200 and sling/oiler from eabco.com. I also installed a yellowjacket buffer. I may do some sear polishing but wanted to wait till I get to shoot it to see how the trigger is. I still want to figure out a way to attach an old M1 Magazine to a Ruger 10 rnd., I think that would look really cool. Man, I can't wait to shoot this tomorrow!!!!

    Front Sight

Could you please post a close-up photo of the front sight? I'm anxious to see how the new front sight is attached. It doesn't look like it is difficult to install; I just want to make sure it's rugged enough.

For those who were wondering about the front sight, heres a pic. The original tapped out really easy, from left to right. To install the new one, just tap in from right to left. There is a front screw that when turned in, it spreads the two halves and thats what puts tension inside the barrel slot. There is one button head screw on each side that locks the sight in place. I used locktight on all the screws.

    Tough front sight

That looks pretty sturdy! Thanks for the quick response.

that is awesome, and I may have to build one as well... I'd have to drag the stock behind the 4-wheeler and bit to rough it up a lil to make it match my m1!

    Nice job!
