Thinking of heckler and Koch. Tell me your opinion

HK P30 9mm is most naturally fitting grip I've ever tried. About 1000+ rounds flawlessly put through without any jams. Mag release on trigger guard great for smaller hands.

      Blythes Youth Bullseye Shoot

Andrew, this was great for the kids. You put a ton of energy into this to make it really good. Thank you and thanks to All the Blythes group for doing something like this for community.

Gander Mountain Merrillville got some guns

I called there at M'Ville store looking for ammo last weekend and I was told grand opening was mid-late May. I can't remember date, didn't stick because it wasn't anytime real soon. They did mention all the guns that were there and more on the way.

      Just gotta ask the question

It is frustrating when you want to go shoot at the range a little bit and you are low on ammo and range doesn't have any. I do like local range is limiting sale of 9mm and similar reloads to those using the range so we can still shoot. I wish there was away to do this for 22lr but...

      Blythes or Cabelas

I've made the rounds and you just can't beat Blythes in Valpo, in my opinion. So many knowledgable people there ALWAYS patient and willing to educate you. They just aren't trying to sell you something and push you out the door. Add great selection, range, and reload ammo always available...

Does your carry gun(s) vary with the season?

Interesting question. My thought process is based on: where going, what doing, and what wearing. For example, auto/bike swap meet carrying wad of cash in sketchy or unfamiliar area by myself I'd carry biggest and most round gun my clothing could conceal. If out on bike on poker run with...

How much more ammo do you need/want

So what's the logically reason why...buy before some tax per round happens? 22LR being so hard to get is hard to comprehend.

      My first HK!

Oh so true, picked up P30 and couldn't put it down. It feels like they made a mold of your hand when they made this. Thank goodness for great layaway at Blythe's!

      FN 5.7 pistol

Ammo at least starting to show up. At local Show this weekend 5.7 ammo for $38/50 rnds I stood there for 20 minutes talking about a trade and no one touched it, meanwhile bulk packs of 22lr were flying off the table at 7.3 cents/ rnd.

      Gun Buyback in Terre Haute

It just baffles me. Who do they think will turn in a gun at this type of event? People who obtained guns unethically or for illegal purposes sure won't turn them in. Is there really a target demographic or is it just for publicity? Plus $100? If they were really serious wouldn't it be $400+...

Went to Cabelas in Hammond today

I go to Blythes Valpo many times a week to shoot and look for Ammo. Almost always have reloads from precision cartridge there and often some other blazer ammo especially in 9mm. I see 40 and 45 often as well in reloads but can't speak to other calibers because I am not looking for it except 22...

Crazy ER Stories: Caliber Effectiveness on the Street

Thanks for the informative right up. I started with 380, went to 9mm at first for better price of ammo but quickly felt more comfortable and accurate with the 9mm. Bought a 22lr pistol to work on technique without going broke at range but will always choose 9mm to carry, especially after...

      FN 5.7 pistol

Maybe I misunderstood your post, but If you ordered a FN Five Seven and get it in a week you should go buy a lottery ticket and tell me where you ordered the gun from! I've been on list at local store for two months. I've seen one come in in the last month+. Ammo is starting to surface locally...

      Blythe's Prices Poll

I've shopped for guns, knives, and ammo at Blythes in Valpo. I've found when they have a gun on sale the prices typically beat everything else in area. Obviously some online prices are often same or better but I'd rather not have shipping and pay to local business who has product on hand. The...

Kel Tec Sub 2000 must have?

Sub 2000 is fun to shoot, not overly ergonomic and took a bit to get comfortable with. After I shot a friends I too have looked for ever since but for me I think it is more the fact that it is(was) a cheap rifle, that would use the same ammo as may handgun. Can't convince myself there are other...

      Ruger 10/22 vs Remington 597

Do you have any opinion or experience with benefits of 597 heavy barrel?
