I picked up a 1st gen XD sub in .40cal, never been fired. The case was missing the holster and one mag. I put 50 rounds thru it, not that impressed with it.
Is it worth trying to sell? A few told me the XD doesn't sell well, especially in .40cal. Maybe keep it for a bug out (backpack) gun...
I just bought a new Ruger LC9S for my wife to carry. She really likes it. I'm sure it will be a better carry gun than her EAA Astra 101. We've been looking at guns for a while now and she finally decided on the Ruger. Now we have to go to the range and try this puppy out!!!:rockwoot:
My dad had his CVA Big Bore .58 Cal stolen early this year. It was mainly used for deer hunting in Michigan during Black Powder season. He loved that gun, so he was hoping to get another one. He's looking at a Lyman today.
I'm looking for a .58 Cal muzzleloader, like a CVA Hawkins, or similar. It's gotta be the old style, octagon barrel rifle. My dad had his CVA stolen and wants to replace it. If someone knows locally where he can buy one new, that would be great too. The closest one he could find is South...
In the early 80's I was living near Oklahoma City with my parents. While working on my motorcycle in the garage, I bumped the drop ceiling with a flying wrench (had a meltdown moment). I heard a distinct thump like something was on top of the tile. I pulled the ceiling tile and found a Colt...
My dad is looking for a lever action .357 rifle. The one he has now is falling apart. He would like a Marlin or Rossi, and might consider a Henry. It can be new or used. Let me know what you have. Thanks
That's next on the list of things to do. She's shot her .380 before, but she still wants me to help her get the feel for this gun.
I'm getting a membership to Old Trails Gun Club in Richmond this week. After I get that all settled, I'll take her there and hit the range.
Went shopping with a friend to help her find a new handgun. She ended up getting a Ruger SR40 at Fields Outdoor in Rushville. Nice gun.
Hey, if I can't buy one myself, help someone else buy one. Still fun shopping!!
Wow! It's great to see so many "gun friendly" families. My dad taught us about guns when we were just old enough to hold one without dropping it. It's in my DNA, gun oil in my blood!!
Glad to see the ladies carrying too. Nothing sexier than a woman packing her own heat, in my mind anyway!!:)
