Another question for you guys. When he is filling out his paper work for LTCH (I talked him into it) Should he answer the question.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? yes or no?
Since technically yes he has but it has been reduced. Should he mark yes and send a copy of the judges...
I passed this info on to him. He said he was prepared to spend as much time and money to make sure everything is back the way it was. So it seems he is pretty serious about making it right.
I'll let you guys know how it goes in a couple weeks when he goes to buy a long gun. I told him to try...
Just a quick update. He spoke with the attorney and the prosecutor yesterday. They both told him it will be like he never had the felony under the statue they are using. I am not sure what it is.
He got the paperwork filed yesterday with his local court, the judge is expected to sign it...
It was at Osceola. It is an ok Test-n-tune track. But for actual bracket racing their prep usually isn't the greatest. But I still go to get speed out of my system. Beat the heck out of street racing since this is legal.
I had this same basic question when I bought a new home out of city limits. I just called the county sheriff since I could not find the information I wanted online.
They told me I need a proper backstop and had to be shooting 500' away from anyone else home except mine. They had no actual...
I am not sure what the lawyers plan or conversation was with the prosecutor and neither is my brother. My brother just said all his lawyer said "The prosecutor agrees to lessen the charge to a misdemeanor we just have to file the paperwork."
He then called me excited about it because it...

I think you may be right. He has an appointment with his lawyer on Thursday to discuss the details. But his lawyer did tell him that his crime would fall under a "white collar" crime and he could possibly purchase a gun now. But no reason to risk it until it has been lessened in my opinion...
Yeah. I thought he was messing with me. He is paying the lawyer Monday. He used the attorney that handled his original case. I'm sure he had some pull with the prosecuter since it is a very small populated county. All in all I am probably just as excited him.
The attorney called my brother and said the prosecuter has already agreed to take the felony down to a Misdemeanor.
All he has to do is pay the lawyer and he will file the paper work. Literally took the lawyer 30 minutes.
The lawyer route is the one I'll suggest to him. I feel bad for him as my brother and a person because I am sure there are lots of people that were just dumb kids at some point that will carry this type of burden for life.
I am new here but frequent several car forums so I will get this out of the way. I did do a search and did not find the answer I was seeking.
My brother and I were avid hunters with my father growing up and I still am with my father. But in 2004 my brother was convicted of a class D felony...
