      Just getting in to IDPA

My uncle was actually talking to me about the one down in harlan as he is a member there. He said he was putting together some barricades for the range to use for it to.

IDPA is pretty fun and has helped my actually be proficient with my guns. I'd like to try out some other shooting sports this summer as well

I don't know, I think it has to be full size but I'm not for sure. I got a 1911 to shoot the CDP class against the group of guys I practice with, and I shoot my M&P 45 in the SSP class and thats the gun I carry as well.

Thanks, the bobtails are real nice to. The shop I got my 1911 at had a bobtail as well, but since the main reason for me getting a 1911 was to shoot IDPA I went with the full size.

Haha, I was planning on saving up for a 686 but this came along for the right price. Figure I can cut my revolver teeth with is and still get a 686 later! I also have one more S&W a M&P15 sport. The rest of my little collection are my Remington 11-48 20ga and my Mossberg 500 12ga. Next thing...

MI Government, ARMED raids on small pig farms!!!

This guys little farm growing red meat isn't cutting into major porks territory I wouldn't think.

MI Government, ARMED raids on small pig farms!!!

Finally got a chance to watch the bakers acres video over lunch. To me it looks like a little sketchy on both parties involved. If this guy is just raising these pigs for meat and not to sell to be released and hunted then the DNR is in the wrong here IMO. As for the guys claiming that the major...

MI Government, ARMED raids on small pig farms!!!

I wouldn't know I've never seen a york, hampshire, or any other domestic breed of swine released into the wild. I'm sure they could survive :dunno: Someone more qualified then myself would have to weigh in on that, my experience with swine stems only from being a 4-h member and exhibiting swine...

MI Government, ARMED raids on small pig farms!!!

I'd just like to see the animals in question. What condition they where in, where they de-tusked, how they were contained, etc. It just seems completely insane that the dnr would order the destruction of common livestock without a reason.

It's the same difference as a wolf and a domestic dog, genetically the same yes, but a completely different animal.

MI Government, ARMED raids on small pig farms!!!

My thoughts exactly, your common domestic swine is a completely different animal than wild swine such as European hogs. I'd like to see what breed these pigs were that had to be destroyed.
