Gotcha. The reason I asked is there seemed to be a lot of talk about the implied consent you give when acquiring a license. Many people in this thread acted like that was a big deal, however based on your answers it doesn't sound like it actually is. Agreed?
If the vehicle is something that doesn't require a license and the operator does not have a license, does that change your investigation tactics at all?
I have a number of Under Armour items, but it's very rare that I would buy them at Dicks or any other store at full price. You can find a number of the good brands at TJ Maxx for quite a bit cheaper. The outlet stores and sales is a good choice too. I bought a pair of UA hunting pants at 50% off...
There are no checks when entering. It is also not illegal but they can ask you to leave if they notice. There are a LOT of police there or at least there was at the game I went to. It was Christmas break though so maybe they figured they'd go to the game since it was a slow time. So keep it...
Was this at the Lafayette store? The manager there is very pro-gun, however is a newer manager and new to being on the selling side of firearms. It doesn't surprise me that he didn't know the ATF rules and was just going by what he'd likely been told. Good for him that he stepped up to find out...
You can even open carry if you so choose. May not be a good idea to openly carry a firearm around a bunch of possible drunk people though. Probably a good idea to stick to cc.
How do you go about selling a rifle there? I have an AR new in the box and it doesn't seem very much fun carrying that around. The people I've seen before normally have a sling they carry with. I guess I could put it in a soft case and put a sign on the case.
I went a couple shows ago with a LEO friend of mine and he just showed them his badge at the table. They asked him if he was going to be taking it out and he replied with only if I have to and they let him go on in.
I don't recall the BoA story, but I'm confused on how Dick's is anti-2A just because they chose as a business to stop selling certain products. That's their right and their choice as a business and it's your right and choice as an individual to choose to or to not shop there. I think the fact...
This is probably the only good reason I've seen to boycott the store. If they choose not to continue to sell rifles, that's their business, but it seems they should at least honor the orders that have already been made. The guy at the gun counter here in Lafayette told me he thought they were...
I dunno, honestly I didn't think ebay was ok with it.
After a quick search I see that ebay only allows magazines up to 10 rounds so not sure how people are selling other stuff. Here's their policy: Firearms, weapons, and knives policy
Paypal has been owned by ebay since 2002: PayPal -...
I believe a sale to a resident of another state must be performed through an FFL. I'm sure they'll be people much smarter than me chiming in here soon if I'm incorrect though. :)
I guess they only started selling them about a year ago anyway. It's their right to determine what they sell and it's each individual's right to decide if they want to shop there. I guess I don't see what the big deal is, I just see it as different people exercising their rights. :dunno:
