      When I have the capability (multiple types of ammunition) I always stagger my magazines. I chamber a JHP (always Hornady Critical Defense) and then fill my mag in such a way that puts an FMJ round at the top of the magazine, next in line if I do have to use my firearm.

      no problem leaving it loaded. Springs are meant to be compressed and decompressed. Its no different than constant reloading, the spring is going to get worked either way. In my opinion, keep it loaded!
