Do you think Schools are going too far??

Don't even get me started! We live in such a knee-jerk society anymore that we have lost all common sense. I never knew of anyone who got killed from a spent shell. I guess I am very fortunate where (and when)I grew up and still live today. I am all for school saftey, but where does the nonsense...

      wife is afraid of guns

I consider myself very fortunate, because both my wife and I grew up in the country and were always around guns. I have a sister who left the area right after high school, and lived around cities the rest her life. She recently moved back in my area with her now husband, who was pretty anti gun...

      The first gun you shot?

The first gun I ever bought was a Remington 514 .22 ss rifle. I was 12 or 13. I walked down the street from my dads tv shop, crossed highway 36, and walked into the hardware store by myself. I laid down something like $23.00,(for a brand new gun, I know I am telling my age) and walked out with...

      The first gun you shot?

Mine was a Stevens Crackshot when I was 5 or 6 years old. My grandpa and my dad had a lot of old guns when I was growing up and I learned how to use them early on. My grandpa would give me 4 or 5 22 shorts, and watch me from the window, as he was pretty well laid up. I used to shoot tin cans...

      Why reload?

There is the satisfaction of doing it yourself. I personally enjoy the act of rolling my own as much as I do shooting them up. Be warned, it will become an addiction.

      Lee die sets

The 4th one is the factory crimp die. I highly recomend this especially for autoloaders. It makes sure that the cartridge is to spec.

      my gun saved my bacon

I didn't have to use the gun on the dogs owner, but I should have shot the dog anyway. I turned it into animal control. He was supposed to pay me $150, but never did. They kept those dogs, moved into town, and the dogs got loose, went into a friends back yard where their children play, and...

      my gun saved my bacon

One evening a couple of years ago went riding my bicycle over by Shades State Park. I rode a few miles the turned around and heahed for home the way I had just come. When I rode past this house, I was on the other side of the county road, I heard a couple of dogs barking at me. I looked around...
