      Irish lion pub in Bloomington

The Irish Lion is good and they have an ok beer list. I would suggest hitting the Lion and then one of the other places around the square. Function brewery is about a block away. Tap is a half block away and they have a hugh beer selection.

Any recommendations for a mechanic in bloomington?

I've had good luck at Pritchards. The owners, Jeff and Shirley are good people. They are located in New Unionville.

      .22lr Pistol Recommendation Help?

I also like the Ruger SR 22 for the fun factor. I have several 22s (mk II, Buckmark, ChallengerII, S&W 41, GSG 1911) and they are all good guns but you get a lot of bang for the buck in SR 22. It's light weight, you can adjust the grip size, you can get a threaded barrel if you want, it eats any...

      Lever gun

An older Marlin or Winchester in30-30 would be the way I would go. If you find one with the birch stock they are usually affordable. If you ever get to Michigan or Kentucky you can possibility find one for $250 - $300.

Anybody ever seen one of the old Mossberg lefty 22's???

I have never seen one of those. I have a couple of CZ 452s and a Browning T-bolt in left hand so I guess it's time to start looking for a Mossberg.

So now I'm looking at bikes...

Based on the bikes you are considering you might get a 29er and get a second wheelset with dedicated road tires. Quick and easy to switch them out.

      22 for my son

The Ruger SR 22 might be a good option. You can change the grip size so both of you can use it.

      Living in Bloomington

I work at the University and live just east of Bloomington in Unionville. I like Bloomington a lot. There are five gun related stores I can think of not counting the pawnshops. I do my shooting at the Hoosier Hills Rifle and Pistol club just east of Nashville. There are several nice places for...

S&W 22lr Air Lite -- easy to shoot?

I will second what indiuky said. My uncle has 351 which is 22 mag hammerless j-frame and the trigger pull was 13 pounds before I replaced it. You might consider either the Ruger lcr or S&W .38 Bodyguard. In my opinion they have nice triggers for j frame size revolvers. She could use the classic...
