      thats what i was wondering...durability???....theyre neat but are they novelty only....if they stand up to hard use thats great for finding your blade in low to no light then you dont have the expense of tritium and possible breakage...or nova light that you have to turn on...hope to hear back...

      just read comment that serrated knives dont belong in bob....great for making tender, twice as much linear cutting surface, hold their edge twice as long as a plain edge, easier to sharpen than a plain edge and you remove half as much material because you only backbevel and strop.....i dont know...

      strongest lock would have to be a butterfly knife...quality of course....you basically have a folding fixed blade...outside of that would probably be a liner lock...but most knives with a liner lock will guillotine if they do fail...sounds terrible to me....spyderco makes the highest performance...

      get her a pink classic alox...small blade, tweezer, toothpick, file, scissors....not a weapon....my wife hated knives said she would never carry one....now she loves it and uses it all the time..they are durable and have a lifetime waranty

      more money doesnt make more functional if you want bang for the buck get a 12in ontario machete and have it reground to length for a chopper.....20 for blade 10 for regrind.....as far as utility blade get a mora....15 invested .....look up grindstone cutlery in ft wayne.....mike is the owner...
