Nothin' in particular, though that 1911 does look tempting and appears to be local. The Arfcom HTF in Indiana is pretty dead, and now that the season is getting warmer, I am looking for places to shoot as a new(er) transplant from another state :):rockwoot:

I had a similar experience with a 512 purchased off amazon. Not sure why, but it was a third party seller fulfilled by amazon. Starting to think that its simply a "print the amazon label and we will drop ship it for you" when amazon fulfills the purchase.
Problem with the shield is the relative lack of area to grasp to rack the slide and the heavy weight of the recoil spring.
What about something like a G19 Gen 4 (nested recoil springs)

What is your budget? G19s are definitely attainable in the 400-500 dollar range. As said before, if its what you want, save for it and buy the Glock. Orders of magnitude better
Used to have membership at an outdoor range that kept most of the "riff raff" out and required community service as part of membership. Open, somewhat exclusive, and not overcrowded.
