      What's Your Next Handgun...and why?

I've always wanted a Desert Eagle. I don't need it but then again, I don't need anymore handguns. There is just a ton I want.

      OCT 1st

I've never hunted with a harness. As an ER doctor I should know better. I plan on getting one this year. Do you guys have any recommendations?

      Benchmade Bushcrafter

Ive been thinking about getting a benchmade bushcrafter. Anyone out there have any experience with it? Any better recommendations for a bushcraft knife? I don't mind spending a little money if it gets me something of quality that I wont have to replace.

      Under Armour Hunting Gear

Thanks for all the info guys. After doing a little more research, I decided to foregoe the UA outerwear and try UA base topped with merino base under my normal hunting atire. If I'm still cold this year I may look at the Cabelas MT050. Thanks for the suggestions.

      Under Armour Hunting Gear

I am looking for warmer clothes for when I'm stand hunting. I'll have to look into the MT050. I really could care less about style. Phylodog, have you looked into Baffin boots. They make polar pac boots. They are huge so don't plan on hiking much in them but they are great for stand hunting.

      30-30 Win versus: 6.5 Grendel, 6.8 SPC, 300 AAC Blackout, 50 Beowulf

I fully agree. I couldn't believe when mossberg introduced it. I can't think of a single thing this gun would be good for, other than making people cringe. It's the worst of both worlds. Functionality of a lever gun and ugliness of an AR.

      Under Armour Hunting Gear

I am looking at getting new hunting cloths after freezing my tail off last year. Has anybody have any experience with Under Armour insulator gear? It's their Storm3 gear with Gore-Tex shell.

      Work Pants

I second the 5.11s. They are the best pants I've owned. I got them on sale at the NRAstore.com a while back. Wish I would have bought more. Plus they have NRA embroidered on them.

      RMR install

You do know that Trijicon offers a dovetail mount for rear pistol sights right? About $80 on Amazon. I hope he likes the sight (And I'm sure he will) because that slide is permanently altered now. http://amzn.com/B004HCCMLW

Anderson police searching for AR-15, ammunition stolen from officer’s vehicle

As a physician, I can say that I'm constantly "practicing". No two people or cases are exactly alike, so every case helps me practice for the next one. And yes that means I'm "practicing" on people.

      45-110

I haven't been yet. I really want to go though. I hear it's a blast. I shoot a Pennsylvania flintlock as well. I think I'd have a lot of fun.

      30-30 Win versus: 6.5 Grendel, 6.8 SPC, 300 AAC Blackout, 50 Beowulf

I agree. One of the AR15's most talked about trait is that is the most customizable firearm on the market. I just think it is worth pointing out that while the AR10 is very customizable, it's not quite to the extent of the AR15.

      30-30 Win versus: 6.5 Grendel, 6.8 SPC, 300 AAC Blackout, 50 Beowulf

I guess your right. Setting it up could be more of a pain. It you bought an aftermarket trigger for instance. There is no certainty that it would fit. If you are buying a stock rifle and are not planning on changing it, no big deal though.

Bedford is on the Schedule (Sep. 26-27, 2015):

Crap, I'm working those days. Sounds like fun and the range is about five miles from my house.

      calling all socom-ers!

I had initially thought about the SOCOM but went with the Beowulf instead. I was just giving my two cents as to why. :chillpill:

      45-110

Its kind of embarassing but I have to admit I want a 110 because of Quigley. I love that movie and there is an extra kind of cool in the 110. I reload so ammo cost doesn't really play into it much.

      45-110

When I ever get one, I plan on using a vernier sight. I also plan on loading it with black powder. I already shoot 45LC with Goex in a single action six and a Winchester 1866 replica. I think cleaning a Sharps would be cake compared to the 1866.
