I thought the day really went well! I wasnt sure what to expect with potentially so many people coming. We (ROs) really wanted to help make this a good 'ol fun time, keep everyone safe, and make sure get everyone got a chance to shoot.
It got busy, but I think everyone had a good time. Thanks...
Wait...? 1.70"??? Isnt that a bit long for 45acp? I use 4.2gr bullseye under a 230gr lead bullet at 1.250" oal... It has worked great in my 5" Kimber and 4 1/4" Dan Wesson for many hundreds (~500) of rounds. "Easy" shooting round, but accurate and always reliable.

A LNIB Kimber Custom (non-series II) Heratige Edition for $650...off Gunbroker if you can believe it. The blueing on the slide rails was still immaculate.
Thanks. I did it about 3 1/2 years ago. All I used was a hacksaw, a soldering iron, a file and some sandpaper... Took a couple hours+, but I went slow and just took a little off at a time until the fit was right.
I do love 1911s, but this has usually been in the past and will likely...
Also agreed on the importance/usefullness of a chronograph. Helps greatly in working up "hot" loads. You can see the actual velocity based on your powder/oal/bullet wt vs. what is listed in a book and hoping it will be exactly the same for you.
I have reloaded many .40 with some bulged cases and havent had any problems. I dont load my target .40s hot so that helps by keeping pressure down and I use a Lee die set that sizes the whole case which removes the bulge.
I have loaded and shot some hot .40s (155gr JHPs chrono'd at 1200...
I also use a Lee Classic turret. Its not much more money than a single stage (progressives are much more) and it in my opinion, haveing used both, it is as easy to set up and use as a single stage. The dies are easy to swap out to use for different calibers (just use another turret). Plus you...
I've been using some of my Dad's old primers that are AT LEAST 20 years old. They were just stored in their original packaging inside a cabinet (in a very smokey house by the way) and they all work fine.
As long as they stay reasonably dry (not exposed to water or left in a very moist humid...
If your current reloads are loaded "hot" then I would suggest backing down the powder charge down a bit and test fire them that way. If your reloads are already really "light" then try the mag primers out with your current powder charge and see how it goes.
For example, my target 40 reload...
:+1: for me as well. I think there are probably many reloaders who want one, but it could also offer a lot of information to some on this site who may not yet have considered to start reloading.
I've had and used one for a few years. A sub-compact/snub nose revolver is about as large of a gun as I feel can be carried and still be comfortable to me (5'10"/190lbs).
Its definetly not a "tactical fast draw" holster by any means...but its a VERY good deep concealment holster when a...
I have worked as an RO at the Eagle Creek Range since 4/06 and the $20 is for just a one day pass. We sell 10 visit passes for $65. But the range is only open to the public on the weekends.
